Gwinnettian Adventures

Twice a month I’ll send you a short newsletter with my thoughts on politics, public policy, culture, and whatever else is on my mind.

Who am I? I’ve been active in Republican politics in Georgia for the past 25 years as a grassroots activist, local GOP official, campaign manager, and writer. From 2011-2019 I served in the Georgia General Assembly as a state Representative. My district covered parts of the cities of Lawrenceville and Suwanee in Gwinnett County. In 2018 I had the crazy idea I wanted to oversee elections in Georgia and ran for Secretary of State. If I had won that election, you would know my name in a whole different context. I thank the Lord I lost that race and that Donald Trump doesn’t know who I am.

Since that election, I’ve worked at the Georgia Center for Opportunity as the Vice President for Public Policy. We focus on knocking down barriers so that people can get a great education, find meaningful employment, and form a healthy family.

Anyway, that’s a little about me. I hope you enjoy this Substack. Please subscribe and tell your friends.
